Director Scott Winterrowd

Director Scott Winterrowd at the Sid Richardson Museum is a Fort Worth native who has spent his career working in the arts. He has held positions at major museums, including the Amon Carter Museum, Dallas Museum of Art, and the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. He has also worked at the Meadows Museum of Art at Southern Methodist University, where he was the Director of Education. He will begin his new role as Director of the Sid Richardson Museum in July 2019.

Winterrowd began his career as a museum docent at the Amon Carter Museum in Fort Worth, Texas, where he interpreted exhibitions and collections for schoolchildren and teachers. He also helped develop museum newsletters and teacher-in-service programs. Winterrowd went on to serve as the museum’s Manager of Community Programs from 1999 to 2003.

To visit the museum, you must make a reservation. There are limited spaces in the museum. The maximum group size is 15 people. You can make reservations for 45-minute increments. The museum is located at 309 Main St. In Dallas, the museum is accessible by public transportation.
